What is Cool Kids Club?

Picture
Cool Kids Club is designed for children ages 5-21 who have special needs. It is a Christian program where parents can have an evening of two hour worry-free respite. Club members will enjoy music, games, unique hands on activities and have opportunities to learn about Jesus.

This program is nine sessions and will run from September through May, meeting every 3rd Friday of the month from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo
.

Cool Kids Club is a free program, but we do ask your child be registered to ensure there is enough space and supplies for them to fully participate. Snacks will be provided, but if your child has food allergies or is on a special diet, please send along an appropriate snack for them.

(*We will accept registrations throughout the year provided there are openings available.)

Church Ministries Are Welcome Volunteers!

Picture
"Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone--especially to those in the family of faith." Galatians 6:10.

Are you or your church service organization looking for a great service project? Youth groups, Women's/Men's Ministries, Senior Ministries are welcome to sign up and come along side these amazing kids.

Volunteers do not need any special training or have prior experience working with children who have special needs. Volunteers will not have to plan or facilitate activities; we ask only that you come with a positive attitude and be ready to have fun!

Please email us at
fmcoolkidsclub@live.com if you're interested in signing up to be a volunteer! THANK YOU, because ministries like this wouldn't happen without your help!

Hi, I'm Jordan!

Picture
I’m 16 years old and I am a junior at Moorhead High school. Some extra curricular school activities I participate in are Key Club, Student Council, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and Dare role modeling. Another great group I participate in is the First Assembly youth group which I joined on a mission’s trip to Chicago.
One of my many interests is working with kids. I also love to work with kids who have special needs. I get the biggest internal reward seeing the kids smile and the joy in their eyes at the end of the day. I go to school with many of these students and have learned a lot about them and what their needs are, and how to interact with them best.
I’m really excited and can’t wait to start working with your children and getting to know them more! I believe that it’s going to be an amazing season for Cool Kid’s Club! We are going to have loads of fun and buckets of learning and developing!

My name is Laura!

(Laura is AMAZING and as soon as she sends me her bio, we will know just how amazing she is! ;-)
